Cisco announces Channel Partner Program Update

Cisco recently announced a number of changes to the Cisco Channel Partner Program.

Changes to the Data Center Specialisations were announced on the 30th of January 2013 with the introduction of a New Specialisation - Express Collaboration being announced on the 11th of February. New courses have been developed by Global Knowledge that specifically focuses on the requirements of the new Express Collaboration Specialisation.

Data Center Specialisation Changes

An update on Data Center Specialisations was also announced and reflects the advancements in products and the changing trends in Unified Fabric and Unified Computing technology. Cisco has also taken this opportunity to align some of the role requirements with existing career certifications as opposed to channel dedicated specialist badges.

The Advanced Data Center Architecture, Unified Fabric Technology and Unified Computing Technology specialisations have all been updated.

Express Collaboration

This new specialisation focuses on Business Edition 6000, video solutions and Unified Communications, products that were previously restricted to the Advanced UC Specialisation partners.
This specialisation will be of particular interest to Express TelePresence and previous Express UC partners looking to expand their existing collaboration offerings, as well as Premier and Silver partners who wish to strengthen their Collaboration portfolio and customer proposition.

Global Knowledge provides enhanced Sales and Technical enablement focused on this specialisation.
