The Visual Studio 2008 certifications are part of the new

When you earn a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
certification, you validate your deep technical knowledge and skill
using the features and functionality of key technology areas in
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. You validate your skills in using
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
to design software applications.
