MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, Windows Workflow Foundation
Applications
The Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 certification tracks are based
on six Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
certifications that demonstrate your understanding of application
development. Each certification focuses on the features and
functionality of key technology areas in the Microsoft .NET
Framework 3.5.
Candidates for the MCTS certifications are professionals who use
Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, or who
anticipate working with these technologies in the near future. You
should have at least one year of experience using the underlying
technologies that are covered in the corresponding exam.
Benefits of MCTS certification
How to earn your MCTS certification on Visual Studio
2008
Each MCTS certification requires Exam 70-536 and
one specialized exam, as shown in the following table.
Note If you currently hold any .NET Framework 2.0 MCTS or
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) certifications,
you have already fulfilled the Exam 70-536 requirement and do not
need to pass Exam 70-536 again; you must pass only the exam related
to your specific certification.
The MCTS certifications will be retired when Microsoft
discontinues mainstream support for the related technology.
The following table lists the exams that you must pass to earn
the MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, Windows Workflow Foundation
Applications certification.
